BW2: Image

Shipwrecked at dawn, 2010 José B. Ruiz
Portuguese beach, at sunset.
Digital Photography: Equipment: Camera Canon EOS 1 DS Mark III. 17-40 mm f / 4. Tripod. Cable release. Lee holder. Singh inverse filter diaphragms Ray 2. Flash.
This photography has been made by Jose B.. This author makes images on different marine species dangerous to humans. In this case the image has been made to raise the blog. The subject of the image is (Physalia physalis), a type of jellyfish that lives in the Atlantic Ocean and contains a powerful poison in its kind. Pictured aspects are very clear and lines characteristic of the animal to the audience of the image, which in this case are people interested in knowing the real dangers of these animals on their trips and excursions through correctly identify a portrait of defined animal. Forming a picture album and dangerous species of animals, the artist shows us a mixture of artistic photography is literal.

In the picture we see clearly focused a jellyfish. Behind we can observe a blurred background that contextualizes the image. Furthermore, we can see that the image is studied and prepared for her portrait, a clear example is the equipment used for processing mentioned above, without any further adjustment, but an image of a professional nature.

We would like to ask the photographer for which reason he choose this sea animal for the picture and how he was inspired for making this photo in this beach. We think that the photographer wanted to let us see the beautiful things of nature with all those colors to make the picture more attractive and although to talk about this type of jellyfish because it’s so dangerous. This photographer have a big passion for nature and the animals. He wanted to explore the world and have a direct contact with his passion and working about what he love. The jellyfish was the choice for the picture because it’s an interesting animal who a lot of people are afraid. Also this type of jellyfish can’t be found everywhere and so less people know about this dangerous animal can arrive to do with his poison.
The photographer have to know what he want to say with the picture because it’s important to transmit something and let us see why he do it this way. To make this picture the photographer use a technique for the difficulty lay in either stabilizing the tripod to the desired height. In this case the column was removed and inserted into the sand, sinking to leave the head in place of taking.
The picture is a dynamic image, with an unusual and striking form. The light is soft and enveloping on the scene, with the cloudy sky. There is a certain atmosphere of mystery and intrigue in the image. They could have created an image based on isolation, but then the subject should appear smaller in the frame and there should be such a striking background
